Attention all talented Vaalies:

The CANSA Association of South Africa recently launched the popular CANSA Socialite competition in Gauteng and a number of events are also scheduled for the Vaal Triangle. Participants are invited to attend scouting days which will take place at various shopping centers and venues or they can enter online by filling in the field boxes and uploading a photo for moddeling or video for the performing arts categories. No entrance fee is required.

First hosted by CANSA Lowveld in 2017, CANSA Socialite gives participants the opportunity to showcase their modelling, singing dancing and acting skills, as well as becoming CANSA ambassadors, taking the message of Cancer awareness and lowering cancer risk to their communities, while also raising funds to enable CANSA to continue to offer support to those affected by cancer.

In 2018 CANSA would like to provide a wider platform to showcase potential local ambassadors’ talents, and apart from offering a modelling category 3-19 years old, the CANSA Socialite now include the performing arts namely, singing, dancing and acting in which toddlers, teens, young adults and seniors may participate.

The aim this year is to ensure that all age groups and talents are sought out in our local communities and given the platforms to showcase their talent at CANSA events, including Relay for life,Cuppa For CANSA. Sanlam Cancer Challenge, CANSA active and CANSA Shavathon. Entering this competition gives participants a chance  to be CANSA ambassadors in their community, while showcasing their talent and helping CANSA provide support to more people effected by CANSA locally. It is an opportunity to use personal gifts and talents to make a positive difference in their own communities.

Scouting days in the Vaal are scheduled as follows:
