SEDIBENG.- After  the Vaal Professionals were knocked out in the Nedbak Cup over the weekend,  their focus is now on thee ABC Motsepe League which is scheduled to kick start next weekend. This is according to the Vaal Pros chairman Mosotho Petla during a interview with Sedibeng Ser Sports after the pre-season games played at Shakespeare Stadium over the weekend.

Vaal Pros feeder team Real Barcelona was part of the five teams which were  hosted by Nale Football Academy as part of the pre-season for both SAB League and Super League teams. The five teams that formed part of this pre-season initiative were FC RESA, Vaal United FC formerly known as The Birds, Junior Lions and Vaal Professionals babies.

Last season Vaal Pros missed relegation  when they finished among the three teams from the bottom of the log but survived the chop. Petlane told Sedibeng Ster Sports that since they are out of the Nedbank Cup their focus now is to start their ABC Motsepe League on a high the positive note. He added that he team did not want to face the same situation it faced  last season.

“I think being knocked out of the Nedbank Cup will motivate us to work hard ahead of our ABC Motsepe League campaign. At least we have learned from our mistakes and for now, it is going back to the drawing board for  the coaching staff. I also want to thank the organisers of these pre-season games for inviting us to be part of this initiative. There are some of the players that we are monitoring from our feeder team and the the idea is to promote them to the ABC Motsepe League team,” said Petlane.
