Development gear up for MCS Tournament

This was revealed at the tournament’s meeting held at Mohloli Secondary School in Sharpeville on Sunday. The meeting saw many local development coaches and managers attended the meeting as they want to be part of this annual tournament. Speaking to the teams – the tournament’s publicist Sello “Zilo” Tshabalala said after the group stages the tournament will pause and resumes after the players finished with their final exams. To date this tournament attracts junior soccer teams around Sedibeng and neighbuoring areas.

For the past three years Sedibeng come to a standstill every time this tournament takes place at Shakespeare Stadium. Tshabalala gave a brief background of the tournament to the teams especially those will be the first team they participate at the tournament.
The MCS Sedibeng Tournament had found memories with some local youngsters who started with this tournament have since play for the PSL development academies. “This is not just a tournament but one of its kinds to be held in this region.
“This year we will make it bigger and better to say the least. We also aimed to keep these youngsters busy during the festive season. I was overwhelmed by the attendance of the teams to show how big is this tournament”, said Tshabalala.
